Data Conductor Privacy Policy

‍Thank you for showing an interest in Data Conductor. We created this Privacy Policy to let you know how we are a Data Controller: how we collect, use, share, and otherwise process your (each, a “User”) personal information, as well as your rights in determining what we do with the information that we collect or hold about you when you access the Data Conductor websites (collectively, the “Site”). As well as where we are a Data Processor: when we process your data through our systems into Looker Studio.

The Data Conductor Site and all related Services are provided by (or on behalf of), Data Conductor, a Georgia corporation, and its corporate partners (collectively, "Data Conductor”, “us”, “we”, “our”).

‍Privacy and Security as Data Processor

‍

‍This section is a summary of our commitments to you where we are a Data Processor (when we process your data through our systems into Google Looker Studio).

‍

Data Conductor does not access or store any Google user data beyond the authenticated user's email address. All other data remains within Looker Studio and is retrieved in real-time via official APIs. We do not collect or persist user content such as emails, files, messages, or analytics data from Google services.

‍

• When it comes to being a Data Processor, the data is never stored permanently on our systems.
  
• We do not share the data you process with us with any party.
  
• Data Conductor only uses official APIs (application programming interfaces) for accessing data.
  
• Data transfers are done using SSL encrypted HTTPS connections.
  
• For logging into most of the data sources, our tools use OAuth. This is a secure authentication method, which means that you never have to type your password into our tools as the authentication happens on a webpage hosted by the data source (eg. Meta, Google, or Microsoft)
  
• Most OAuth services we connect to provide their own interface for revoking access rights
  
• For services that still require your username and password, or API key, any tokens, keys or passwords are stored encrypted in our systems.

Privacy and Security as Data Controller

‍Information Collected

‍

‍When you visit our Sites, we collect two types of information: personal information you give us and usage information automatically collected as you browse our Sites.

This privacy policy does not apply to the privacy practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including but not limited to any third-party websites, services, applications, online resources to which this Site may link or otherwise reference (collectively “Third Party Services” or “TPS”) that you may access through the Services. We take no responsibility for the content or privacy practices of any TPS.  We encourage you to carefully review the privacy policies of any TPS you access. You may have the option to register using a TPS or connect your account to a TPS such as but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Microsoft, or Shopify. By authorizing us to access your TPS account, you understand that we may obtain certain information from your TPS account, you authorize us to obtain certain information from your TPS account, which may include your name, email address, birthday, work history, education history, current city, shared media, and the names, profile pictures, relationship status, and current cities of your TPS contacts. We only obtain information from your TPS account that you specifically authorize and grant us permission to obtain.

The following are the specific types of information we collect from you.

‍Information You Give Us

‍

‍We collect information you give us on our Sites and when you register for and use our Services. Examples include the following:

• Registration and Profile Information. When you register to use our Services or update your profile, we collect various kinds of information about you including, your name, email address, and other profile information you provide.
  
• Contact Information. We collect the email addresses you provide for your account.
  
• Payment Information. When you sign up for an account, our payment processing vendor collects your credit card information and billing address.
  

Information Collected Automatically

‍While you visit or use our Sites or Services, certain information, including personal information, is collected about your use of the Sites and Services. Examples include the following:

• Log and Usage Data. When you visit the Sites, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type or the domain from which you are visiting, the search terms you use, and any advertisements on which you click. For most users accessing the Internet from an Internet service provider the IP address will be different every time you log on. We use Log Data to monitor the use of the Site and Services, and for the Site's technical administration.

Any or all of activities on our Site or Services with regard to Site usage information may be recorded on our behalf by our service providers, including, for example, our analytics vendor(s) and our e-mail management partner(s).

• Cookies. “Cookies” are small bits of information that the Site places on the hard drive of a User’s computer. Cookies remember information about activities on the Site to make a User’s visits to the Site more enjoyable and valuable by providing a customized experience and recognizing a User’s preferences. If a User has chosen to disable cookies on his or her browser, some of the functionality of the Site may be lost. Certain services provided by Data Conductor, require that cookies be enabled in a User’s browser and cannot be used when cookies are disabled.
  
• Flash Cookies. (also called Local Shared Objects or “LSOs”). Flash cookies are data files similar to cookies, except that they can store more complex data. Flash cookies are used to remember settings, preferences, and usage.
  
• Web beacons or clear pixels. Web beacons are small graphic images on a web page or in an email that can be used for such things as recording the pages and advertisements that a User selects, or tracking the performance of email marketing campaigns.
  
• Web server logs. Web server logs are records of activity created by the computer that delivers the webpages requested by the User’s browser. For example, a web server log may record the search term entered or the link clicked to bring a User a webpage. The web server log also may record information about a User’s browser, such as IP address and the cookies set on the browser by the server.
  
• Device information. We may collect information about the mobile device or computer used to access the Site, including without limitation the hardware model, operating system and version, browser type, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  

Data Conductor participates in behavioral-based advertising. This means that a third party may use technology (e.g., a cookie) to collect information about a User’s use of the Site so that they can provide advertising about products and services tailored to a User’s interest. That advertising may appear either on the Site, or on other websites.

Data obtained from Google APIs is never used for behavioral advertising, ad targeting, profiling, or training machine learning models.

‍Do Not Track Signals

‍

‍Some Internet browsers may be configured to send “Do Not Track” signals to the online services that you visit. We currently do respond to do not track signals. To find out more about “Do Not Track,” please visit http://www.allaboutdnt.com.

‍How We Use Personal Information

Data Conductor collects and uses the Data to operate the Site and Services supplied upon signing up to the Service. The User’s personal information may be used for the following purposes:

• To improve customer service. Information you provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
  
• To personalize user experience. We may use personal information to understand how our Users use the services and resources provided on our Site.
  
• To improve our Site. We may use feedback you provide to improve our products and services.
  
• To send periodic emails. We may use the email address to respond to their inquiries, questions, and/or other requests. If User joins our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

Sharing Of Personal Information

‍We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others.

‍

Google user data obtained via API integrations is never shared, sold, or transferred to third parties, and is only used to fulfill requested data visualizations within Looker Studio.

‍

We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.

‍Data Use and Transfer

‍

‍Data Conductor's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. For more information, please refer to Google API Services User Data Policy.

‍Security

‍

‍The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once it is received. You acknowledge and agree that no Internet or email transmission is ever fully secure or error free. You agree to take special care in deciding what information you send to us via email. ‍Children’s Privacy

‍

‍Use of the Services is only available to individuals who are of legal age to contract in their applicable jurisdiction. The Services are not directed to children under 13 years of age. If our policy changes, we will obtain consent from a parent or guardian before we knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 13.

‍Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data

‍You have the following rights in your Personal Data:

• Access. You may access the data we hold about you at any time via your account or by contacting us directly.
  
• Amend. You can also contact us to update or correct any inaccuracies in your personal data.
  
• Move. Your data is portable – i.e. you have the flexibility to move your data to other service providers as you wish.
  
• Erase and forget. In certain situations, for example when the data we hold about you is no longer relevant or is incorrect, you can request that we erase your data.

Upon request Data Conductor will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your Personal Data. To keep your Personal Data accurate, current, and complete, please contact us as specified below on “Contact Us ”section, or contact your data controller. We will take reasonable steps to update or correct and delete Personal Data in our possession that you have previously submitted via the Services or that the data controller has provided to us, but in all cases within the requirements specified by applicable law.

We will retain personal data we process on behalf of our Customers for as long as needed to provide services to our Customers. Data Conductor will retain this personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

If you wish to subscribe to our marketing communications, we will use your name and email address to send communications to you. You may elect to stop receiving our marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in such emails, or you may contact us at support@dataconductor.io.

‍Changes to Data Conductor's Privacy Policy

‍The Services and our business may change from time to time. As a result, at times it may be necessary for Data Conductor to make changes to this Privacy Policy. We will notify you by email (sent to the e-mail address specified in your account) or by means of a notice on this Site of any material changes to this Privacy Policy. Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Data. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date indicated above. Your continued use of the Services after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Privacy Policy.
